This is a work in progress. A book, perhaps. A philosophy, certainly. Maybe something else.

The Art of Orientation in an Age of Accelerated Possibility

The future belongs to those who can see what matters.

We live in a world of accelerating possibility. Technology can generate more information, ideas, images and solutions than any of us can reasonably absorb. The challenge is no longer simply how to create. It is how to choose: what deserves our attention, what connects, what matters, and where to go when the path isn’t clear.

Surf the Flux is an exploration of orientation—the human capacity to find our bearings in the midst of change. Navigation can give us a destination and a map. Orientation is what happens when we enter the water.

The metaphor of surfing is deliberate. A surfer doesn’t fight the waves or wait for the water to become still. They learn to read the conditions, recognize the movement, find the moment, and use the energy of the wave to move forward. Change isn’t an interruption to navigate around. It is the environment we are already in—and a source of possibility.

Surf the Flux is about developing the taste, judgment, curiosity and discernment to move through that environment with purpose.

Not finding certainty. Finding your bearings.

A QUESTION OF ORIENTATION

A QUESTION OF ORIENTATION

How do we remain deeply human without becoming anti-technology?

I’m interested in how we cultivate taste. How we develop judgment. How we make meaning when the tools can generate almost anything. How we navigate when certainty is no longer a particularly useful goal.

I don’t have all the answers. I’m more interested in developing better questions.

Surf the Flux is an invitation to explore them.
